FREAK ONE - ERIK KOTO
Erik Koto has been interested in documentaries since it became all the
rage. Before turning his
lens on the Christian rock scene, Koto was
just another lost, aimless soul. But that is all about to change! By day, Koto toils in the material world of high finance. By night, he drinks. Heavily. When he’s not shooting, editing, and producing films, he can be found rummaging thru garage sales for classic Stryper vinyl and other assorted Christian rock sundries.
Koto fine tuned his trade
by taking several documentary filmmaking classes at
911 Media Arts
where he is also a trustee. Like everyone else in Seattle, he has an MBA
and frequently begins sentences by saying “As an MBA…” He has no pets
and very little furniture. He enjoys long walks on the beach and
pursuing an active lifestyle but is also “just as happy hangin’ out at
home watching a movie on the couch”.

FREAK TWO - ROBERT NACHBAR
Robert Nachbar
has massive molten brass balls. When he’s not swinging them to and fro, he
wiles away his time crafting flowery PR prose, overusing words like
‘synergy’ and ‘proactive’. Originally from Long Island, Nachbar has always
been fascinated by reality and has often dreamed of documenting it. Speling
and grammar are his two passions in life. He never judges a book by its
cover but frequently judges other people by the cover of the books they’re
reading. Most of all he enjoys referring to himself in the third person. Some of his
favorite documentaries include American Movie, Capturing the Friedmans,
Scratch, Baraka, and Jesus Freaks, which he has seen like a hundred times!
He enjoys French cooking, Turkish baths, and making casual references to the
films of Kurosawa and Felini, of which he has never seen. Nachbar holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Colorado where he “studied” English and creative writing. He currently splits his residence between Queen Anne, Seattle and Downtown, Seattle. He is married to his wife Tekla. They have no children but many vices.
